Dave pulled Concorde in 1987, & that seems to be the record that most remember him for.

Of course he pulled the B52 & the Boeing 747 but there were a few others too. Looking through the archives, I asked Dave about some of the other photos - "Oh yeah, I forgot about that plane," he said casually looking at the article from France. There are stories for every pull, so many over the years. I (Dan Earthquake) write this having pushed a few buses in my time. I remember the effort it took, 10.5 tonnes being the heaviest & also the Blackpool tram that weighed 19 tonnes. There wasn't much difference between the two in my experience - rails providing less friction than tyres. Therefore I have an appreciation for the extra effort involved to move something heavier. Tanks on transporters, locomotives, railway carriages, I wonder at it even now. Other sections will cover them. Anyway, here are a few more pics from Dave's archive:
